Who Is Raaz B
Born and raised in Cameroon, Raaz B is a versatile rapper, songwriter, and Afro-urban recording artist whose music authentically reflects street realities, hustle culture, love, ambition, and the everyday experiences of both local and urban communities. Recognized for his unique blend of Mboko rap, Afro-rap, and contemporary Afro sounds, Raaz B continues to establish himself as one of the rising voices shaping the modern 237 music movement.
His musical journey began in Kumba with the music group Swag BMG, where songs like Back 2 the Game earned him early recognition within the local entertainment scene. In mid-2015, he officially launched his solo career with the energetic single B-Swag Dance, introducing fans to his vibrant sound, lyrical confidence, and street-inspired musical identity.
In 2016, Raaz B gained wider industry attention following the release of Wise Man, a powerful Mboko rap anthem that dominated several 237 music charts and strengthened his presence within the Cameroon music industry. The success of the record secured him a three-year contract with LCG Production, marking an important turning point in his career.
On October 6, 2021, Raaz B released the 7-track project UNDISPUTED EP, a body of work that further showcased his versatility and storytelling ability. The EP featured the standout record OLUWA IS INVOLVED alongside Big G Baba — a timeless motivational anthem that resonated deeply with fans of authentic street music and mboko rap culture.
In September 2018, Raaz B relocated to Douala, Cameroon’s economic capital and one of Central Africa’s leading entertainment hubs, to expand his musical journey and collaborate with artists across the industry. During this era, he released the 8-track Afro-fusion EP AURA, featuring records such as Jaja Love featuring Hard Fire, K-Town Anthem featuring Big G Baba, Tox-Zik & Daddy Iceman, Tout Les Nuits featuring Phenozen, Salary featuring Spaco, Gigabyte, and La Vie Est Compliquée Remix. The project reflected Raaz B’s artistic growth, creative versatility, and deep connection to street culture and modern Afro sounds.
As Co-Founder of SG Empire, Raaz B continued building his movement and expanding his influence within the 237 entertainment industry. In December 2023, he introduced the highly anticipated project THE STREET AND LOVE through official music videos for Lifestyle, Calling, and Mulema featuring Ketidy — records that quickly became fan favorites for their relatable themes and modern Afro-urban energy.
On February 14, 2024, Raaz B officially released the 15-track album The Street and Love, a project that blended emotional storytelling, Afro-pop melodies, street motivation, and authentic urban experiences. The album featured collaborations with several respected artists nationwide, including JBeats aka Tada, K-Major, Mic Monsta, Ketidy, Hard Fire, Nami Nami Cyrus, Gordon, and Farida.
The project received strong recognition across the Cameroon music industry and African entertainment media space, earning playlist support, television appearances, blog coverage, magazine features, and recognition on major 237 entertainment platforms including 237 Plug News and African Spotlight Magazine. The success of the album further positioned Raaz B as an artist with growing influence in the Afro-urban and Mboko rap scene.
Continuing his momentum into 2026, Raaz B returned with another impactful project titled MOVING TRAIN — a 7-track EP showcasing his evolution as an artist and storyteller. Blending melodic Afro-rap vibes, motivational street anthems, and emotional lyricism, the project highlighted his ability to connect deeply with listeners through relatable experiences and powerful collaborations. Songs like Level Up, Living Proof featuring Ketidy, Insight Life featuring Big G Baba and Tada, and Telescope reflect the ambition, resilience, and hustle mentality that define the Raaz B movement.
Today, Raaz B continues to push boundaries in the Cameroon music industry through authentic storytelling, cultural influence, and a sound rooted in Afro-urban creativity. More than an artist, Raaz B represents passion, resilience, ambition, and the unstoppable energy of the streets.
